It started with an old friend.
In 2020, the pandemic forced us to close our TCM practice in China — and say goodbye to more than 2,000 people who had trusted us for years. We came to America to start over.
After settling in Irvine, we reconnected with an old friend we'd known for more than 20 years. In a casual conversation, we learned that she'd been dealing with an issue since childbirth — for almost 10 years.
Kelson offered a few simple suggestions. It came naturally to him; more than 90% of the 2,000+ people we'd cared for back home had been mothers and children.
Two months later, she told us, surprised and grateful, that she no longer needed to rely on adult diapers when going out.
To us, it felt like nothing more than a small gesture. And after we moved to Texas, we gradually forgot about it.

But……
Until 2026, when a report on postpartum health brought her story back to us.
It made us look at it differently: this is something so many women experience after childbirth, yet it remains overlooked — with surprisingly little support available in the U.S.
We started asking a different question: how many women are quietly living with something they simply learned to live with?
Since giving birth, have you had moments like these —
When you sneeze, cough, or laugh
When you pick up your child or carry something heavy
When you run, jump, or play with your kids
When you can't quite make it to the bathroom in time
When you check where the restroom is before you go anywhere
Yes — that.
The kind of thing that just happens sometimes, without warning.
Even when you're wearing a pad.
Even when it just means rinsing out your underwear again.

Along the way, we were fortunate to meet Dr. James Kern — a physician since 1991, with over 35 years spent helping women across Texas through childbirth and hormonal health. His experience gave us the confidence to keep going, and to help more women here in the U.S.
